My name is Justin, and I am a Creative. I’m in my senior year of studying Marketing Communications and Entrepreneurship. Prior, I spent some time in Boston studying Journalism. I’ve always been interested in communications whether visual, verbal or written because it is vital to human existence. In recent years, I’ve continued my journalistic career by hosting Race to the Top, a show dedicated to highlighting the achievements of local BIPOC trailblazers in Miami, FL. I am also a freelance content creator for small business owners. I help them tell their story on social media. Like many, I have a love-hate relationship with social media, I love the power it holds especially for business owners and entrepreneurs alike. On the other hand, I hate the negative psychological impacts it has on users. With the prevalence of fake and divisive storylines on social media, I naturally became more interested in media literacy which is what this blog is about.
