1970s Feels during Miami Winter

It’s finally happened; we have officially entered winter in Miami. Even if only for a few days, something tells me I’m not the only one soaking up this cooler weather. This passed week was Miami Art Week, which means everyone with the slightest interest in art came out to celebrate in the form of visiting art galleries, viewing live performances, viewing installations or just having drinks at a bar (hey, we don’t judge here). It was nice to see everyone out and about.

This passed Sunday, the weather dipped as low as 59º so I wanted to dress warm but, also cute (mostly warm cute warm) for a relaxed day of walking around Wynwood and adventuring by the beach. Fashun vs. staying warm? Truly, a never-ending battle during winter months but, I never thought I’d find myself in this predicament while back in Miami. This time around there was no competition as I decided to achieve both, which all started with a puffy jacket.

I love this lined aviator bomber from The Gap. Not only does it keep me really warm but, my favorite thing about it is the pink faux-fur lining around the neck! I decided to keep it simple on top with a matching green bodysuit. On the bottom I went with high-waist bell bottoms jeans; bringing it straight back to Limited Too days (did anyone else shop here as a kid?)

I love that the tinted glasses add a nice 70s touch in addition the jeans. Pink has definitely been a theme in my life this passed Art Week so I amped it up with pink lips and of course, a pink backpack.

I finished off the look with simple gold earrings and white sneakers, perfect for walking around.
